Are you a target in parental alienation, are you trying to live your best life, is stuff getting in the way? The Brain Scrub focuses on mental health and I share how I am coping during these unpredictable times by focusing on self-care, improvement and building community. My goal is to support you in living your best life by sharing what I have done during my journey as an alienated parent. This podcast explains my path to living a more authentic life by taking a courageous look at my self and focusing on what I can control, me. I am not an expert and the tools and techniques I share are based on my research, practice and ideas. For mental or physical health challenges, please seek the advice of a qualified practitioner. After about 7 years of being alienated from my son and 6 years of not seeing him, I have achieved emotional peace. How? It was not an easy journey and what I learned that if I pursue him, I become more attached to suffering and a lack of peace. By stopping the pursuit of what I wanted and believe is the right thing to do, my emotions were able to disconnect, including the associated stress. Time heals everything.

Too often a funeral is more like a reunification ceremony where the dearly departed makes way for relationship building. The recent funeral for my dear Aunt and Uncle who were loved by most, is a good reminder of the importance of family relations.

If we didn't know the dark, we would never see the light. Our shadow-self is an important contributor to who we are - the good parts and those we may not claim to have...yet, we see it in others. In acknowledging and connecting with our shadow, we are better able to reduce anxiety, hatred, anger and resentment. Turn around, see that shadow.
